This is the official Facebook page of the Tangipahoa Parish sheriff’s Office. This page was created to provide our citizens and users access to information about the TPSO. We encourage two way communication using social media. This page is monitored by the Information Services of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office. Before posting on this page, please review these terms: A posting on this page constitutes acceptance of these terms. Do not use this page to report a crime.

If you have information related to a crime (suspects involved, location, evidence, etc.), please call Crimestoppers at 800.554.5245.
If you post information related to a crime on this page, you may be placing yourself in the position of becoming a witness to a crime and subject yourself to subpoena. “Friending and/or liking” between the TPSO and a user does not indicate endorsement of that person’s actions or comments.

Comments posted by others on the TPSO’s Facebook page(s) are not to be considered the opinion of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office; nor does Sheriff’s Office endorse any third-party comments on this page. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reserves the right to remove and/or block anyone who posts inappropriate material as determined by the TPSO. The Posting and Takedown Terms do not allow posting of photos or videos by anyone other than authorized members of the TPSO. An internet troll is someone who posts inflammatory extraneous or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion. Any person engaged in "Trolling" or leaving a "troll" on this or any of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Social Media sight will be banned immediately, and the comments removed.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office WILL REMOVE any comments that are inappropriate or offensive, including comments that: defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or violate the legal rights of others include racism, hatred, slander, threats, obscenity, violence and/or vulgarity spam or advertisements have personal information about another person or that violate a person’s privacy include copyrighted material that belongs to another person contain links to inappropriate websites clearly off topic.
