TPSO Looking For WANTED Teens
HAMMOND, LA – The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Division is asking for the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding numerous car burglaries that have occurred and are continuing to occur in the Ponchatoula and Robert areas.
Juvenile Detectives are currently investigating a group of teenagers who have been “car hopping” through neighborhoods since January 6, 2016. These teens work as a group and have been breaking into vehicles in the Ponchatoula and Robert neighborhoods. Several juveniles have already been identified and charged, however it is believed that several are still at large.
To stop any future activity, the TPSO is asking anyone knowing the identity of such teens to please contact Crime Stoppers at 800.554.5245.
We are also asking anyone who was victimized and has not reported the crime to local authorities to please do so. Popular items being stolen are guns, electronics, and wallets.
As a result of arrests made during this investigation, numerous items have been recovered. Victims having serial numbers to property that was reported stolen are asked to call the TPSO’s Juvenile Division at 985.902.2011. We would like to return all property recovered to the proper owners.
