Several arrested in "Meth Cook"

KENTWOOD, LA - On the date of Monday, April 25, 2016, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents, Detectives and Street Crimes Unit began multi-unit narcotics investigation centered on methamphetamine manufacturing in the Kentwood area.

During the course of this investigation, Agents were informed through known and unknown sources that a Ken Kelsey McNabb (White male DOB 9/14/1972) of Old Spring Creek Road in Kentwood, Louisiana was manufacturing methamphetamine at his residence. Agents were also able to verify that McNabb had several outstanding warrants to include and not limited to several Failure to Appears, multiple Felony Warrants, and a Protective Order violation. It was also learned over the course of this investigation that a Jerry Scott Ishee (White/ Male DOB 3/24/1969) was also a current occupant at McNabb’s residence and was an active accomplice in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Agents then conducted surveillance of McNabb’s residence which is located behind the address of 73020 Old Spring Creek Road. After some time, Agents approached the residence. Upon doing so, they made contact with an individual whom they knew as Robert “Robbie” Wright (DOB 12/28/88). Wright was exiting the front door of McNabb’s residence while Agents observed McNabb standing on the inside the residence. MCNABB immediately closed the door. Detectives then could hear loud, scurrying, noises from inside the trailer. Within moments, detectives observed a white male was attempting to flee from the rear of the residence with a metal container in his hands. At this time, WRIGHT was detained and agents were able to identify and apprehend the fleeing white male as MCNABB. MCNABB stated that ISHEE was still inside the residence, but after the residence was checked for ISHEE he was not located. MCNABB stated that ISHEE must have fled when agents were approaching the residence.

Information gathered at the scene revealed WRIGHT was there to purchase methamphetamine; however, it was not ready (finished being cooked). Once the residence was cleared for individuals, MCNABB signed a voluntary consent to search the residence.

A search of the residence revealed items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, as well as pseudoephedrine and methamphetamine residue on several objects within the home. The metal container in MCNABB’S possession contained precursor materials necessary to manufacture methamphetamine. In the kitchen area of MCNABB’s residence Agents located a digital scale, and more filter materials. The residence had several exhaust fans running with windows open and an air conditioner running to help in the ventilation of a strong chemical smell frequently present during the process of manufacturing or “cooking” of Methamphetamine. Approximately 2 grams of suspected processed Methamphetamine were located on McNABB’s person.

Subsequently MCNABB was charged with and booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on Possession of Schedule 2 Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS), Manufacturing of Methamphetamine, and all outstanding warrants attached to him.

WRIGHT was charged with Conspiracy to Possess Narcotics.

Jerry Scott Ishee fled the scene and Agents were unable to locate him after an extensive search of the surrounding area. Warrants on ISHEE for Operation/ Creation of Clandestine Lab will be written and submitted for his arrest.
