Crime Stoppers - Who Did It?
PONCHATOUA, LA – (September 6, 2016) –Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) is asking for your assistance in locating 24 year old Dayjordan R. Spears of Ponchatoula, LA. Spears is wanted by the TPSO on multiple charges including domestic abuse/battery, aggravated assault, simple kidnapping, and criminal damage to property.
Warrants for Spears’s arrest come after an incident that occurred on September 3, 2016, shortly after 4:00 am, in the morning. Deputies immediately responded to the Range Road Mobile Home Park in Ponchatoula, LA., where Spears was allegedly holding a female at knife point in a parked vehicle near one of the residences.
When deputies arrived at the scene, Spears grabbed the victims cell phone fled on foot from deputies. Deputies attempted to locate Spears to no avail.
A preliminary investigation reveals that the initial incident began at the victim’s residence on W. David Dr. in Hammond, LA. Spears demanded that the victim leave her residence with him. When the victim did not comply with his demands, he became aggressive and violent resulting in the victim fearing for her life. The suspect then took the victim to a residence located in Range Rd. where he proceeded to be beat her. During the time of the incident the suspect brandished a knife and threatened to kill the victim and himself. The suspect also used the knife to slash the tires a vehicle the victim attempted to flee to for a possible escape.
