Two Arrested
AMITE, LA – (January 14, 2017) – Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that two are now arrested in connection with numerous thefts in Livingston Parish
On January 10, 2017, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office received information of a possible stolen ATV at a residence on Anderson Rd in Roseland. Upon further investigation the ATV in question was located and found to have been entered as stolen by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office. An attempt was made to make contact with the residence owner, 35 year old Michael StCyr of Roseland, to no avail. The stolen ATV was recovered and stored at a local wrecker yard.
The following morning, January 11, 2017, a follow up investigation was conducted by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. At approximately 1:00PM Wednesday TPSO, LPSO, and Denham Springs PD Detectives converged on the Anderson Rd. residence armed with an arrest warrant for Michael StCyr and a search warrant for the property. A thorough search of the residence and property resulted in the location of approximately $20,000 worth of stolen property consisting of ATV’s, bumper pull trailers, and a golf cart, along with other items that were seized and turned over to LPSO and Denham Springs PD.
StCyr was taken into custody by Tangipahoa Parish Detectives and charged with three counts of felony Possession of Stolen Property. 40 year old Stephanie Latino of Roseland, was taken into custody and charged with Interfering with a Police Investigation. StCyr remains in custody at the Tangipahoa parish Jail on a $22,500 bond.
