HAMMOND, LA – (August 18, 2017) – Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports the following arrest.
Last night, 20-year old Tyshon Lamar Coleman – aka- FAT MACK - of Hammond, LA was taken into custody by the TPSO on 2 counts of attempted second degree murder.
At approximately 8:50 p.m., deputies responded to the Contempo Apartment Complex on Quick Blvd. in reference to a possible shooting. Subsequently, an investigation of the incident revealed that the accused, 20-year old |FAT MACK| Coleman was engaged in a physical altercation when he pulled out a handgun and fired several rounds at his opponent. Coleman’s shots missed his intended victim and consequently struck a bystander in the leg leaving him wounded.
It is believed the motive for this incident began over a shooting that occurred in the Independence area a couple of months ago that is currently being investigated by the Independence Police Department.
With the assistance from the Hammond Police Department, last night around 11:05 p.m., the accused was taken into custody and charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder. The male victim who was shot in the leg is reported to be stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
