Independence Man Arrested

INDEPENDENCE, LA. – (October 12, 2017) – The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the events surrounding a series of residential burglaries and criminal trespassing.

Monday, October 2, 2017, a victim from the Antioch Road area reported an attempted burglary which was captured on video surveillance.

The person on the video surveillance was identified as 35-year-old Jonathan Lowery of South Evans Road Independence. October 5, 2017 Lowery was arrested by Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Burglary Taskforce. 33-year-old Bridget Walker was with Lowery both were taken into custody on an assortment of warrants to include Issuing Worthless Checks, Failure To Pay Child Support, Failure to Appear and Burglary.

The investigation has lead investigators to understand that Lowery and Walker approach random house. They will attempt to open the door to the residence. If unlocked entry will be made into the residence if the residence is locked items where taken from under the carport or patio. If the occupant answered the door they would ask for a factious person. Lowery has been arrested on three additional Criminal Trespassing Charges and an additional Burglary.
