Hammond, LA- October 7, 2027 - The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriffs Office Financial Crimes Unit began their investigation into a series of internal thefts at a local business identified as Miller’s Mart, located on West Club Deluxe Road, in Hammond.
During this investigation Financial Crimes Detective Travis Pitman recovered video surveillance, which identified former store employee 27-year-old Johnathan Douglas of Hammond, LA. committing a series of thefts while on shift and while visiting the store off shift. The series of thefts occurred behind the point of sale area where employees would conduct business. The items identified as being stolen by Douglas were numerous bottles of high content alcohol, smokeless tobacco and cigarettes.
Detective Pitman has obtained an arrest warrant for one count of L.R.S.14:67 Relative to Felony Theft for Johnathan Douglas. Anyone with information about Douglas’ whereabouts please contact Crime Stoppers at 800.554.5245.
