Month-long narcotics investigation nets 6 arrests.
HAMMOND, LA – (April 7, 2018) - The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office closed a month- long undercover narcotics investigation with six arrests and the seizure of a large quantity of various narcotics.
Approximately 30 days ago, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and the Hammond Police Department Narcotics Unit began looking into numerous complaints of suspected illegal narcotics activity at a residence on Jefferson Drive in Ponchatoula. Over the course of the investigation, undercover narcotics agents made numerous controlled buys from multiple subjects at the residence. Undercover agents were able to purchase suspected Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Crack Cocaine from the residence.
On April 2, 2018, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, Hammond Police Department, and Department of Homeland Security Aviation Unit executed a search warrant at the residence located at 41432 Jefferson Drive in Ponchatoula. As law enforcement arrived at the residence, serval subjected attempted to flee on foot but were soon apprehended. As a result of the search warrant, Detectives recovered approximately five ounces of suspected methamphetamine, approximately six grams of suspected crack cocaine, suspected Heroin and numerous dosage units of Adderall capsules.
Consequently, those occupying the residence at the time of the search warrant were arrested and charged accordingly.

Kelvin JACKSON - B/M DOB 02/14/72- of Whispering Pine Ponchatoula, LA. Charged with 40:966A1 possession with the intent to distribute CDS I, RS 40:967A1 possession with the intent to distribute CDS II, and numerous warrants
Michael HUTCHERSON - B/M 05/26/85 – of Eugene Kelly Drive Hammond, LA. – Charged with resisting arrest and numerous outstanding warrants.
Letcher CYPRIAN - B/m 10/18/70- of West I-55 Service Road Hammond, LA. Charged with resisting arrest and numerous warrants.
Bryant WOMACK Jr. - B/M 02/07/92- of Washington Ave Hammond, LA. Charged with resisting arrest and numerous warrants.
Demarkeal PINES - B/M 11/01/00 – of Willow Villa Hammond, LA. Charged with resisting arrest.
