CASH FOR CROOKS!!!
HAMMOND, LA – (May 29, 2018) - During the early morning hours of May 17, 2018, an auto theft and an attempted auto theft was committed at the Liuzza Produce Farm, located on Old U.S. 51 in Independence, La. The perpetrator(s) were dropped off at the location at approximately 3:30A.M. at which time they stole a 2008 GMC FLAT BED PICK-UP White in color and attempted to steal an additional vehicle but were unsuccessful.
On May 18, 2018, the stolen truck was discovered by Police in Gulf Port Ms. at which time Gulf Port Police pursued the vehicle but were unsuccessful in stopping it. The vehicle was last seen traveling East on I-10 from Gulf Port.
More recently, during the early morning hours of May 29, 2018, an additional auto theft was committed from the same location. It was reported that at approximately 3:00A.M. the perpetrator(s) were dropped off at which time they stole a 1999 DODGE FLAT BED PICK-UP Blue in color.

Sheriff Edwards is adding an additional $500.00 to the current Crime Stoppers reward for information leading to the recovery of the vehicles and the identification of the perpetrator(s).
