Arrest Made

HAMMOND, LA - September 28, 2018 - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that on September 23, 2018, 42-year-old Edmundo Ambrocio Reyes of Tickfaw, LA, was charged with Second Degree Murder.
Reyes is accused of stabbing 27-year-old Jonathon Delacruz, at their residence in Tickfaw, LA. Delacruz subsequently succumbed to his injury shortly after being transported to a near by medical facility. Reyes fled the scene prior to deputies arrival.
The incident occurred on September 21, 2018, approximately at 9:10 p.m. as the result of an argument between the two males. On September 22, 2018, detectives identified 42-year-old Reyes as the suspect in this incident.
As detectives secured a warrant for Reyes's arrest, it was learned that at approximately 5:15 a.m. on September 22, 2018,, Reyes was booked into the parish jail on unrelated charges by the Louisiana State Police (DWI and Careless Operation). On September 23, 2018, Reyes was charged with Second Degree Murder.
Reyes remains behind bars on a $154,000 bond.
