Arrests
HAMMOND, LA. - October 3, 2018 - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports the following:
On Friday September 28, 2018, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division with the assistance of Hammond Police Department, Louisiana Probation & Parole, and the Drug Enforcement Administration ended a 6- week undercover narcotics investigation involving illegal narcotics activity in the Natalbany area. During the course of the investigation, Agents were able to conduct several controlled purchases of heroin, prescription medication “specifically Roxycodone”, and marijuana.
In the morning hours of September 28, 2018, multiple law enforcement agencies descended upon the residences executing three narcotics search warrants. As a result, several doses of assorted and unlabeled prescription medications , suspected cocaine HCL “powder cocaine”, several doses of suspected MDMA “Ecstasy”, approximately 2 pounds of suspected marijuana, and three firearms. A check of the firearms revealed that one was reported stolen from a burglary in Tangipahoa and another from St. Tammany Parish. In one of the residence, investigators observed children's toys and clothes scattered through of the house where several different types of illegal controlled dangerous substance were recovered.
