Arrest
PONCHATOULA, LA - January 10, 2019 - The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriffs Office reports the arrest of 29 - year-old Kody Byers of Ponchatoula, LA. on multiple charges including domestic abuse and sexual assault.
On December 25, 2018, Byers was arrested on charges after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a Ponchatoula residence. Subsequently, Byers was arrested and booked on charges of domestic abuse battery, domestic abuse battery, child endangerment and false imprisonment.
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Juvenile Division continued to investigate the incident and allegations of sexual assault. As a result, Monday, January 7, 2019 he was booked on charges of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, sexual battery and oral sexual battery.
Byers is currently incarcerated at the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.
