Hammond Phone Lines
HAMMOND, LA - January 16, 2019 - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that yesterday afternoon between the hours of 3:30 - 8:30 p.m., the TPSO's Hammond phone line, (985) -345-6150, was out of service due to construction work taking place on Club Deluxe Rd. in Hammond.
A fiber optic cable was inadvertently cut (damaged) by construction workers late yesterday afternoon. As of this morning, all circuits are reported to be up and running.
This break in service did not interrupt service to the sheriff's office's Amite phone line of (984) 745-8147 or calls to 9-1-1.
We sincerely apologize if you attempted to contact our Hammond office yesterday afternoon to no avail. We will continue to keep you updated throughout the next few days regarding phone service to the Hammond Office as construction work continues.
