HAMMOND, LA - January 25, 2019 - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards is asking for the public's help in identifying the subject in the attached photo.

December 03, 2018, the Parish Parish Sheriff's Office began investigating a theft that occurred inside of the Create-A-Cig located on West University Avenue. The complainant stated that while helping a customer, a male subject entered the store. While continuing to help check out original customer, they momentarily walked away from the counter to view an additional item before completing the customer's final sale. Unfortunately, the customer left his wallet and items for purchase on the counter while viewing the additional item. Consequently, when they returned to the point of sale the wallet and intended items for purchase were gone.

The male is described as being approximately six feet tall, mid to late thirty's, almost bald, wearing glasses, a polo style shirt and long shorts. The male was also said to reeking with the smell of burnt marijuana.
The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who is able to identify this male to please contact Crime Stoppers at 800.554.5245. Detective Kovan Banks is the lead investigator on this case.
