Arrest
HAMMOND, LA - February 15, 2019 - The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office reports the following:
On Monday February 11, 2019, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Financial Crimes Unit secured arrest warrants on 19- year old Elizabeth N. Varnado of Hammond, LA for 22 counts of Identity Theft. Varnado was later located by the Hammond Police Department Street Crimes Unit and arrested.
Varnado is currently being held in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail. Varnado is accused of stealing her friend's debit card information and making multiple unauthorized purchases at various locations in Tangipahoa Parish via mobile applications amounting to more than $700.00.
