Arrest
UPDATE:
On September 27, 2019, wanted suspect, Cornelious Beachamp, 51 -years of age was taken into custody for the September 23rd shooting that occurred on Dillon Lane, which left one person dead and another seriously injured.
Beachamp was located at a residence on Miley Niqiporo Ln. in Tickfaw where he was taken into custody with out incident.
He was booked into the parish jail on one count of 2nd degree murder and one count of attempted second degree murder.
UPDATE - HAMMOND, LA - September 24, 2019 - On September 23, 2019, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting incident on Dillon Ln Hammond, LA. Upon arrival on scene, deputies discovered two individuals had been shot and transported to North Oaks Hospital by private vehicles.
One subject, identified as 29 -year-old J. T. Douglas was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The second subject identified as Travis Walker, 37 years old, was admitted in the hospital and is being treated for a gunshot wound. His injuries are listed as severe, however is expected to survive.
Late last night, detectives identified 51-year-old Cornelius Beauchamp of Klein Rd. as the alleged suspect. Beauchamp is being accused of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. Warrants have been obtained and issued for his arrest.

HAMMOND, LA - September 23, 2019 - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that the sheriff's office is investigating a shooting that occurred about 2:30 this afternoon, leaving one man dead and another man wounded. The incident occurred on Dillon Lane.
