Narcotics Related Arrest

HAMMOND, LA – April 22, 2020 – Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that bond has set at $700,500.00 for alleged drug dealer caught with a slew of illegal narcotics and cash during a roadside investigation on April 19, 2020, around 5:00 a.m.
33-year-old Harbir Singh of Hammond, LA. was taken into custody and charged with 12 counts of Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II, Possession of Firearm while in possession of a CDS, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and Possession with the intent to distribute CDS IV after deputies located him passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle at a stop sign at the intersection of Randall Rd. and Magnolia Crossing.
Subsequent investigations led deputies in locating a slew of illegal narcotics, US Cash Currency, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia. Substances seized included multiple doses of suspected Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Adderall, and Tramadol.
