Sheriff's Scholarship Award

Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards announces that the application deadline for the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association annual scholarship has been extended until Friday, May 15, 2020. The original deadline was April 1, 2020, however, postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Applications are still available for download online at www.tpso.org. Completed applications can be turned in at either TPSO location or mailed to the Public Information Office, 15475 W. Club Deluxe Rd., Hammond, LA 70401. All applications must be received by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office no later than Friday, May 15.
The $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school student who attends a Louisiana College. An applicant must be a permanent resident of Tangipahoa Parish and must be eligible for admission. The scholarship is awarded as a gift, not a loan, and is awarded to defray the rising costs of tuition and related expenses in higher education. There are no restrictions on the purposes for which the scholarship is spent.
