Narcotics Arrest

HAMMOND, LA - Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards announces the arrest of a Mississippi father and daughter duo following a traffic stop that led TPSO Narcotics agents to approximately four and one half ounces of methamphetamine.
On November 30, 2020, TPSO agents conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on US Hwy 190 near Alligator Drive. During the traffic stop, agents obtain written consent to search the vehicle from the driver, 60-year-old Eugene Thomas FRITH. As result of the search, agents discover approximately one and one half ounce of suspected methamphetamine, a suspect marijuana cigarette, and an assortment of drug paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of illegal narcotics and consumption of illegal narcotics.
Agents further learned the passenger of the vehicle, 24-year-old Eva Donn FRITH had concealed narcotics on her person at the time of the stop. A search Eva Donn FRITH’S person resulted in the seizure of over three ounces of suspected methamphetamine.
Eugene Thomas FRITH was charged with improper lane usage, possession with the intent to distribute CDS II, possession CDS I, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
