INDEPENDENCE, LA – Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards is asking for the public’s assistance in gathering information related to an armed robbery that occurred at Blackcat Guns located in Independence, LA.
The suspect is described as being a tall, thin, black male. After holding the store’s owner at gunpoint, the suspect got away with several guns and a large amount of ammo.
The incident occurred about 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 24, 2020. The suspect fled the scene in a light silver or gold color vehicle.

The Office of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is also assisting in this investigation.
