HAMMOND, LA - Holidays, birthdays, and milestones come and go, but for families of people who have gone missing, the absence of their loved one brings grief with Christmas cheer.
“It is hard to satisfy a family when their case is unsolved, however, they know we care and that we follow up on every lead and every tip,” says Sheriff Daniel Edwards. With every unsolved case is the story of someone’s loved one.
On October 1, 2015, 57 -year-old Nicholas “Nick” Michael Schiro, of Amite, LA. went missing. His friends and family had not been seen or heard from him for a few weeks before they reported him missing Oct. 1st.
Nick is a white male, about 5’7” tall, 130 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. After investigating numerous tips, following many leads, investigators are not any closer to finding out what happened to Nick.
Nick lived on Lowery Lane in Amite.
On May 13, 2020, 31-year-old Christopher Brewer of Stateline Rd. in Kentwood was reported missing. He was reported missing by friends and family. Unfortunately, there has been no sign of since May 11, 2020.
Most recently, 22-year-old Jonathan Matthew Tucker of Hammond, LA. went missing. He was last seen at his home in the evening hours of September 7, 2020, in the Hammond area.
Tucker’s family waits for him to come home every day. They won’t give up on him, and neither will we.
“We will keep fighting and will keep publicizing your loved one’s case and hope that one day that call comes," say’s Edwards. With every case we investigate, we believe someone knows something about it. We need the public’s help and these families need your help.
