School Resource Officers

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer (SRO) program is a cornerstone of school safety, providing a dedicated law enforcement presence in schools throughout the parish. SROs are highly trained officers who respond swiftly in the event of security breaches or altercations, ensuring the safety of students and staff. Beyond their role in security, SROs play an essential part in fostering positive relationships between students and law enforcement, helping to bridge the gap between the community and police from a young age.
