Livingston Parish Man Arrested Following Shooting, Multi-parish Pursuit

HAMMOND (November 26, 2025)- The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO), in collaboration with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police, has arrested a Livingston Parish man following a shooting and pursuit through two parishes.
Andres Gutierrez, 19, has been booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on one count each of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Aggravated 2ndDegree Battery, Aggravated Flight from an Officer, and Animal Cruelty. Additional charges are possible.
In the overnight hours of Wednesday, November 26, the TPSO was alerted to a shooting at a home in the 10000 block of Highway 22 in Ponchatoula. Deputies learned a dispute between two men resulted in one firing multiple shots, hitting a female bystander in the arm instead. The suspect, Gutierrez, then fled the scene and led deputies on a vehicle chase into the Slidell area.
Gutierrez was taken into custody at a gas station when the truck he was driving ran out of fuel. The injured woman was transported to a hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
