Suspects Sought in Multiple Discount Store Theft Investigations

HAMMOND (July 6, 2026)- The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) needs the public’s help identifying and locating several suspects accused of stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise from several area discount stores in the past several months.

·       June 9th- Two black females were caught on surveillance video stealing several baskets of laundry detergent from the Dollar General Store on Happywoods Road in Hammond. They drove away in a light-colored sedan.

·       June 16th-A black female is seen on surveillance video at the Sibley Road Dollar General in Tickfaw stealing laundry detergent and leaving the business in a brown four-door Honda.

·       February- A black male and a white female with red hair stole cleaning supplies from the Dollar General on Highway190 in Ponchatoula multiple times. Each time, the suspects were traveling in a red sedan with Louisiana license plate 161 JOK. The male has been identified as33-year-old Duane Anderson, who is now in custody; however, the female has still not been identified.

·       May- The Happywoods Dollar General was targeted by two black men and a black female who stole more than $1,100 in laundry detergent and left in a red, 4-door sedan with a decorative front license plate that had pink writing. That same week, a black female was seen on surveillance video at the Pumpkin Center Road Dollar General stealing a large amount of cleaning supplies before leaving in an older model gray Nissan sedan with a rusted hood.
