TPSO Seeking Identities, Locations of Several Suspects

Oct 2, 2026

HAMMOND (October 2, 2026)- The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) is asking the public for assistance identifying and locating several suspects wanted in a variety of crimes.

·        The first case is from earlier this month regarding a man seen on video trying to break into several vehicles at businesses in the 12000 block of Highway 190 in Hammond. Detectives have been able to learn that the individual is frequently seen walking around the I-55 area in Hammond, but have not been able to confirm his identity or where he usually stays. The suspect appears to be tall with a medium build, has bushy facial hair, and long, dark hair in a braid or ponytail.

·        TPSO detectives are also trying to identify at least two suspects who stole thousands of dollars worth of items over a four-day period from the Tractor Supply store in Hammond. Surveillance video from September 12 shows two white males suspected of taking ten different pieces of lawn care equipment. However, the images included in this news release are of one of the suspects on two different occasions. He is described as a white male, average height and thin build with blonde hair. His right forearm features a sleeve of tattoos.

·        The last case involves several incidents over the past two weeks at a discount store on Pumpkin Center Road in Hammond. Video surveillance from the last incident on Monday, September 21, shows a white female with dark hair walking up and down aisles, putting items into a beach-style bag then leaving the store without paying for any of the items. Store employees had filed at least one other theft report on the 17th, but say the woman had been in the store daily between the two incidents and they suspect she had shoplifted during those visits as well.

Sheriff Gerald Sticker encourages anyone with information about who any of these suspects are, and/or where to find them, to contact our Criminal Investigations Division at 985-902-2088 or Retail Crimes Detective Earl McFarland at 985-514-8181.
