Three Arrested in Ponchatoula Shots Fired Incident

PONCHATOULA (October 24, 2025)- The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) has arrested three people following a shots-fired incident in the Ponchatoula area.

David Coleman, 18, has been booked on one count each of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Obstruction of Justice (Evidence Tampering).

Jamario Terrell, 20, has been booked on one count each of Accessory After the Fact-Aggravated Assault by Drive-By Shooting.

Amyra Selders, 20, has been booked on one count each of Accessory After the Fact-Aggravated Assault by Drive-By Shooting and Protective Order Violation.

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 15, TPSO received a call about a vehicle being shot at on Rose Drive in the Ponchatoula area. Deputies learned there had been an argument at a residence, and when one of the involved individuals got in their car to leave and disengage from the fight, he was shot at, but not injured. The suspect then drove away with several other individuals.

With cooperation from the victim, deputies were able to track down the suspect vehicle on Booker Road II in the Hammond area where Coleman, Terrell and Selders were taken into custody.

Following the arrest, Coleman and Terrell admitted to discarding the weapons they used into a wooded area.
