Father & Son Arrested in Ponchatoula Narcotics Operation

PONCHATOULA(October 29, 2025)- The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) has arrested a father and son following an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Troy “Jack” Jackson, 49, has been booked on one count each of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I Narcotics, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II Narcotics, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Controlled Dangerous Substance Violation within a Drug-Free Zone.

Back in August, TPSO Narcotics deputies teamed up with Hammond Police Narcotics officers to investigate a suspected drug dealer in the Ponchatoula area. From that time, the investigation expanded to multiple addresses involving multiple suspects.

On Tuesday, October 28, the TPSO team along with Hammond PD, Ponchatoula PD, DEA, Homeland Security and members of the recently-developed Parish County Line Taskforce, conducted a search warrant at homes on East Rateau Road and North 1st Street, both in the Ponchatoula area.

During the operation, the Jacksons were taken into custody at the home on 1st Street which is located near an elementary school. Detectives recovered a large amount of marijuana, synthetic marijuana, or Mojo, and liquid Methadone between the homes and vehicles parked at the homes.
