UPDATE- Third Arrest in Ponchatoula Narcotics Operation

Nov 5, 2025

PONCHATOULA (November 5, 2025)- A third suspect has been arrested in an ongoing narcotics investigation that first resulted in the arrest of a father and son.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, with the assistance of the Ponchatoula Police Department, took Frederick Seymore, Jr., 32, into custody on one count each of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I Narcotics, Illegal Possession of Weapons While in Possession of CDS, Controlled Dangerous Substance Violation within a Drug-Free Zone, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm By a Convicted Felon.

At the time of Seymore’s arrest, he was out on bond from a September arrest by the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office for 1stDegree Rape and was wanted again by the SJSO for narcotics-related charges. In addition, Seymore had a court hearing scheduled for this week in St. John the Baptist Parish for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.

Last week, Troy “Jack” Jackson, 49, and his son Troy Jackson, Jr., 26, were booked in connection with a drug investigation that began in August and culminated with a search warrant for two addresses in the Ponchatoula area, less than a block from an elementary school, last week. That operation turned up a large amount of marijuana, synthetic marijuana, or Mojo, and liquid Methadone between the homes and vehicles parked at the homes. In the home Seymore was connected to on East Rateau Road, marijuana and a gun was also found. Seymore is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm.

The TPSO would like to thank the Ponchatoula Police Department for their assistance in capturing this wanted subject as well as our partner law enforcement teams with Hammond PD, Ponchatoula PD, DEA, Homeland Security and members of the recently-developed Parish County Line Taskforce, for their assistance with this extensive investigation.
