Suspects Sought in Church Theft Case

TICKFAW (August 13, 2026)- The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) needs the public’s help identifying and locating at least two suspects accused of stealing copper wiring from A/C units at a church and costing more than $10,000 in damages.

Back in May, members of the Antioch Baptist Church on Antioch Road in Tickfaw reported two A/C units had been damaged with copper tubing missing from the condensers. Surveillance video from the day before showed what appears to be a white male wearing light-colored pants and a blue PetCo t-shirt walking around the units in the morning.

Then, in the overnight hours, the camera captured what appeared to be a small pick-up truck with a chrome toolbox entering the property. Moments later, a man wearing light-colored overalls, a hoodie and glasses is seen behind the A/C units. A second man, matching the same description as the one seen on the property in the morning, is then seen talking with the individual trying to steal the wiring. Finally, the video shows one of the suspects walking off with the stolen tubing.
