Suspects Sought in Business Burglary Investigation

PONCHATOULA(August 6, 2026)- The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) needs the public’s help identifying and locating at least two suspects who burglarized a Ponchatoula-area market.
In the early morning hours of Tuesday July 21st, TPSO detectives responded to a report of a burglary at a local store located in the 21000 block of Highway 22 in the Ponchatoula area.
Detectives found that the suspects damaged several areas of the building while making attempts to break in, including smashing the glass of the front double doors. At this time, it appears the suspects got away with multiple items from behind the counter, including cartons of cigarettes.
The crime was caught on surveillance video and shows two individuals wearing jeans and hoodie sweatshirts with face coverings and gloves.
