Meet Sheriff Sticker

Sheriff Gerald Sticker took office in July 2024 with a mission to enhance our parish and the Sheriff’s department. A proud Tangipahoa native from Bedico, Sheriff Sticker is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of our community as well as continuous improvement within the Sheriff's Office. With more than 25 years of experience in law enforcement, including roles as a patrol officer and Chief of Police, he brings extensive expertise in guiding departments through periods of growth and challenge.
National Accreditation
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is proud to be nationally recognized by The Commission of the Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.(CALEA). This prestigious accreditation is achieved through a voluntary process where independent accrediting bodies thoroughly inspect and review policies and practices to determine if the agency meets state and national standards and best practices. This process holds our department accountable and sets high standards for operations.
Achieving accreditation is a highly valued recognition for any law enforcement agency. The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is honored to be one of only 10 agencies in our state to hold this law enforcement accreditation.
Sexual Abuse & Sexual Harassment
Zero Tolerance
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office has a zero tolerance policy regarding sexual violence and sexual misconduct involving staff. If you have information or believe an offender under custody of this Department has been subjected to conduct of this nature, please notify the warden’s office where the offender is assigned or the Probation and Parole District Office where the offender reports if he or she is under supervision.
