Be On The Lookout: Transient Man from Hammond Possibly Missing

HAMMOND (June 26, 2026)- The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in verifying the welfare of a transient man in the Hammond area.
Frankie Harrell, 58, has been known to frequent the Alligator Drive area. However, it was reported this week that he has not been seen in his usual locations for several months, and there is now concern for his safety.
The investigation has determined he was last confirmed to have been at a local hospital in December 2025 and reportedly seen on Alligator Drive later that day, still wearing the blue paper scrubs from the hospital. Harrell has no phone and no known permanent address.
Frankie has black and gray hair, brown eyes, stands 5’9” and weighs around 200 lbs.
While investigators continue to check local shelters, group homes, hospitals and adult care facilities, Sheriff Gerald Sticker asks anyone with information regarding Frankie’s whereabouts to contact our Investigations Division at 985-902-2088.
