Nov 3, 2026

HAMMOND (November 3, 2026)- Three teenagers have been arrested on multiple charges after leading deputies on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle.

One 14-year-old male has been booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center on one count each of Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Flight, Resisting an Officer (By Foot) and Runaway Juvenile.

Two 14-year-old brothers have each been issued summonses for one count of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things (Felony).

On Sunday, November 1, TPSO deputies tracked down a stolen car on Wardline Road in the Hammond area. The vehicle, a 2016 Kia Forte, had been reported stolen earlier that morning from the Ponchatoula area.

Deputies attempted a traffic stop, however, the driver instead sped off and a chase began. The pursuit went into Hammond City limits but ended on a dead end street with all occupants running from the vehicle. The driver was quickly apprehended with assistance from K-9 Thor. The other two teens turned themselves in a short while later.

This investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information about any additional suspects involved in this crime are asked to contact the TPSO Criminal Investigations Division at 985-902-2088.
